Joshua Tree
Joshua-Tree.jpg

Having spent several weeks alone in the Mojave Desert a little less than a year ago, exploring and wandering and becoming closer to that region of America than any other I’ve visited, I cannot understand the destruction that has taken place in Joshua Tree National Park over the last several weeks during the government shutdown here in the United States.

The idea that anyone would feel comfortable chopping down such rare and iconic trees to clear a path for their vehicles is unconscionable. The way humans sometimes behave when they believe no one will hold them accountable is beyond my grasp. For now, I am heartbroken for Joshua Tree — but I plan to return to the desert soon to document the aftermath of the darker realities of human nature and the beautiful resilience of the American desert. It has taught me so much about life itself.

Saatchi + The Mojave
Mojave No. 1 print for sale through Saatchi

I’m pleased to announce that open edition fine art prints from my series “The Mojave” are now available through Saatchi. They are available framed and unframed, and would make a delightful gift for the holidays or a wonderful addition to your personal photography collection at home or in the office. Proceeds from print sales will help me to continue the project and enable me to put together a proper book and a series of special limited edition prints later down the road.
