BOOKING AND POLICIES

Contract Policy

A written contract signed by the client and photographer is required for booking a photo shoot. Shoot dates and times are not reserved unless and until agreement has been signed by both parties and a retainer deposit has been paid by the client. An electronic copy of the written agreement and an electronic receipt for all payments will always be provided.

Diversity Policy

To celebrate diversity and ensure fair, equal opportunities within the industry, an inclusion rider is mandatory for all commercial shoots requiring multiple models, talent, or crew members.

No Animal Fur Policy

In an effort to help the fashion industry transition to more ethical and environmentally responsible practices, the studio imposes a strict no animal fur policy.

Meal Break Policy

The photographer, crew, and talent are entitled to a half hour meal break per every eight hours on set, in addition to any other breaks required by law, agency, contract, or union.

Retouching Policy

The studio does not offer in-house retouching services which dramatically alter a model's body, weight, height, skin color, age, or overall appearance to meet unrealistic or idealized standards of beauty.

Payment Policy

A nonrefundable retainer deposit/advance fee equal to 25% of the total fee is due at the time of booking/signing of contract and will be applied toward the final payment. Payment for props, locations, rentals, and subcontractors (talent, assistants, crew, etc.) must be paid in full at the time of booking, in addition to the retainer fee. The remaining balance for photographic services, less the retainer deposit/advance, is due by the end of the shoot prior to leaving set. Reimbursements and payments for additional services or hours of photography are due in full prior to the delivery of proofs. Failure to remit retainer deposit/advance fee at the time of booking will result in an immediate cancellation of your shoot, and your shoot date will not be reserved. Any payments submitted after their due date are assessed a penalty rate of 5% of the remaining balance per week late. Failure to make final payment by its due date constitutes a cancellation of the shoot by the client. Accepted methods of payment include PayPal, Venmo, or Zelle. Business checks are accepted at the discretion of the photographer. Method of payment must be agreed on prior to booking. Personal checks are never accepted. Client is responsible for all fees for non-sufficient funds related to their payment(s). An electronic receipt for all payment(s) will always be provided.

Because booked dates are reserved and unavailable to other clients, and because photographer relies on scheduled photo shoots to maintain a full-time photography business and pay bills, all scheduled payment due dates are final. In the event of a cancellation, payment is due in full on the original date(s) agreed upon in your written agreement. A kill fee may be negotiated at the discretion of the photographer prior to booking for shoots that are uncertain. Client will be responsible for any studio, location, or other rental fees associated with their canceled shoot.

Safety Policy

Location Fees

All fees associated with location rental and location permits must be paid for by the client per the individual needs of their project in consultation with the photographer, either in full at the time of booking or directly to the location or venue. If the location requires specific insurance that cannot be provided by the client, the client is responsible for any additional insurance fees required for the shoot.

Studio, Equipment, and Set Rental Fees

If your shoot requires the use of a studio or set, or the rental of specific equipment, please inquire with photographer prior to booking to discuss options. Airfare and overnight hotel accommodations for locations beyond 100 miles of downtown Los Angeles as well as out-of-state and international shoots must be arranged and paid for by the client prior to the shoot. Overnight accommodations are required for full-day shoots at locations beyond a four-hour drive from downtown Los Angeles.

Client must agree on a new date in writing within 31 calendar days of the original date of the shoot; otherwise, the shoot may be considered canceled at the discretion of the photographer. Rescheduled shoots require a revised written agreement signed by both parties, and may require additional fees depending on permits, studio rentals, etc.. Client is responsible for any studio or location fees associated with the original canceled date. Because the photographer is self-employed and relies on bookings to stay in business and pay bills on time, all original due dates for payments are final.
