Additional Retouching | $100 per hour
All shoots include standard color correction and basic retouching of final selected images. Basic retouching is limited to standard color correction, exposure correction, and the removal of minor blemishes and other minor, distracting details of a model, subject, product, or environment. Please note that the studio does not offer in-house retouching services which dramatically alter a model's body, weight, height, skin color, appearance, or age to meet unrealistic or idealized standards of beauty. If extensive retouching of this nature is required for your project, an outside retoucher will be necessary and must be arranged and paid for independently by the client.
Photo Assistants + Digital Technicians
Photo assistants and/or digital technicians are often necessary on large commercial shoots in order to keep things running on schedule and looking picture-perfect. In order to comply with state and federal employment laws, all fees for assistants, digital techs, crew, talent, models, or other subcontractors necessary for the shoot will be billed to the client at an additional hourly rate and must be paid in full by the client at the time of booking, in addition to the retainer deposit fee. Please inquire with photographer prior to booking for recommendations about the specific crew needs of your project.
Hair, Makeup, Wardrobe, Set Designers, and Stylists
Hair, makeup, wardrobe, and styling can give your shoot a highly polished aesthetic and a professional appearance. Photographer is connected to a great pool of talent in Los Angeles and will be happy to recommend stylists that can help make every detail of your shoot perfect. IIn order to comply with state and federal employment laws, all fees for subcontractors necessary for the shoot will be billed to the client at an additional hourly rate and must be paid in full by the client at the time of booking, in addition to the retainer deposit fee. Please inquire with photographer prior to booking.
BOOKING AND PAYMENT POLICIES
A written agreement signed by both parties is required for booking. Shoot dates and times are not reserved unless and until agreement has been signed by both parties and the retainer deposit has been paid by client. An electronic copy of your written agreement and an electronic receipt for your retainer deposit will always be provided.
A nonrefundable retainer deposit equal to 25% of the total fee is due at the time of booking/signing of contract and will be applied toward the final payment. Payment for props, locations, rentals, and subcontractors (assistants, crew, etc.) must be paid in full at the time of booking, in addition to the retainer fee. The remaining final payment, less the retainer deposit, is due upon delivery of proofs. Proofs and all other images will remain fully watermarked until payment in full has been received. Failure to submit retainer deposit at the time of booking will result in a cancellation of your shoot, and your date will not be reserved. Any payments submitted after their due date are billed at a penalty rate of 5% of the remaining balance per week late. Accepted methods of payment include PayPal, Venmo, Zelle, business check, or cash at the discretion of the photographer. Personal checks are not accepted. Payments via business check are not considered paid until cleared, which may result in a 3-5 day delay of image delivery depending on the bank's processing time. Client is responsible for all fees for non-sufficient funds related to their payment(s). An electronic receipt for all payment(s) will always be provided.
Additional finished photos beyond the number of images included in your rate are available for purchase at the rate outlined in your written agreement. Payment for additional photos is due at the time of placing order. Retouching work will not begin on additional photos until payment for those photos has been fulfilled.
Client requests for rescheduling should be submitted no later than 72 hours prior to scheduled shoot, except in specific emergency situations. Rescheduling requests are not guaranteed and depend solely on the availability of the photographer. Rescheduled shoot dates will depend solely on the availability of the photographer. Client must agree on a new date in writing within 31 calendar days of the original date of the shoot; otherwise, the shoot may be considered canceled at the discretion of the photographer. Rescheduled shoots require a revised written agreement signed by both parties, and may require additional fees depending on permits, studio rentals, etc.. Client is responsible for any studio or location fees associated with the original canceled date. Because the photographer is self-employed and relies on bookings to stay in business and pay bills, all original due dates for payments are firm. In the event of rescheduling, payment is due in full on the original date agreed upon in your written agreement.
Because booked dates are reserved and unavailable to other clients, and because photographer relies on those shoots to maintain a full-time photography business and pay bills, all scheduled payment due dates are final. In the event of a cancellation, payment is due in full on the original date(s) agreed upon in your written agreement. A kill fee may be negotiated at the discretion of the photographer prior to booking. Client will be responsible for any studio, location, or other rental fees associated with their canceled shoot.
All fees associated with location rental and location permits must be paid for by the client per the individual needs of their project in consultation with the photographer. If the location requires specific insurance that cannot be provided by the client, the client is responsible for any additional insurance fees required for the shoot.
Studio, Equipment, and Set Rental Fees
If your shoot requires the use of a studio or set, or the rental of specific equipment, please inquire with photographer prior to booking to discuss options. Studio and equipment rental fees are not included in rates and must be arranged prior to booking. Photographer is happy to provide suggestions for local studios and sets that offer competitive rates. If the rental requires specific insurance that cannot be provided by the client, the client is responsible for any additional insurance fees required for the rental.
Travel, Parking, and Lodging Fees
All parking and travel fees will be billed to the client after the shoot and must be submitted to the photographer at the time of final payment. Shoots that require travel beyond 20 miles of downtown Los Angeles will be billed a mileage rate of 53 cents per additional mile after the included 20 miles.
